Holland Rescue Mission’s Gateway Center campaign and launch event open a way forward.
The leaders of Holland Rescue Mission knew it was time to take another step forward in their innovative approach to serving the homeless and less fortunate, so they brought us in to help them craft and implement their vision. We collaborated with the mission’s team to shape and sharpen the message of the campaign. Through a comprehensive mind mapping session, we discerned four key insights.
Holland Rescue Mission’s will always provide emergency care for the homeless, but it is also called to give residents the opportunity to move from the margins of society to fully participating citizenship.
HRM’s work doesn’t only benefit the homeless—the mission is a value-added stakeholder in the city, committed to building a more excellent community for everyone.
All of HRM’s programming must be Christ-centered and excellently executed.
Sustainability and enterprise are values that are important to the mission, its key donors, and the community.
The Create and Rollout phases were driven by the insights of enterprise, sustainability, and community that were revealed through our discovery process, giving a compelling thematic unity to the banquet and campaign. With these insights as our guide, we crafted a verbal Brand Story and visual Identity Package for HRM’s Gateway Center campaign. With the brand in place, we then moved into creating the assets that Holland Rescue Mission would need to successfully execute their vision.

We collaborated closely with HRM’s leadership team to get them ready for the big reveal. This included assets for the banquet itself, as well as marketing collateral to raise awareness in the broader community. The banquet went off without a hitch, and now the mission is using the tools and messaging we created to build enthusiasm in the community and fund the Gateway Center’s construction and programming.
