Let’s suppose you had the opportunity to sit beside your customer, looking out at a peaceful lake, and tell her why your business or product or service is the very thing she’s been looking for.  Why it’s different than all the others and why working with you is worth the cost.  What would you say? If your message wouldn’t be understandable and interesting in that setting how muddled does it get back in the world of noise and distraction and competition?  If you can’t make your case in an hour on a dock how can you make it in the ten seconds you get when she looks at your website or ad or brochure?  That’s why we don’t rush into marketing or media until the message is clear and compelling.
