About a year ago, we sat down for our first mind mapping session with the leadership team at Indian Trails Camp. That process resulted in the creation and branding of their new parent organization, IKUS Life Enrichment Services. Around that same time—in fact, exactly a year ago today—the organization broke ground on the latest exciting addition to the Indian Trails Camp property: the Kate Pew Wolters Center. Now, one year later, IKUS unveiled and dedicated its new facility, and we were excited to celebrate with their team and supporters.
Thanks to IKUS’s generous supporters, the Kate Pew Wolters Center at ITC is now ready to provide recreational, therapeutic, social, educational, performing arts, and vocational programs for over 3,000 individuals with disabilities and other community members throughout the year. This 18,000 sq. ft., LEED certified, state-of-the-art life skills and activity facility features a full-size regulation gymnasium, life skills training center, café, performing arts stage, and therapeutic sensory room. The Kate Pew Wolters Center will allow for increased organizational capacity for IKUS programs, as well as increased partnerships with many nonprofit organizations in our community. Plus, there will never be another rainy day at camp!
